"Sign language is the noblest gift God has given to deaf people."

George Veditz

Hello! My name is Jamie Saunders. I currently teach American Sign Language (ASL) including Deaf Studies to Middle School - High School students and also Elementary School students. I received Master's degree in Deaf Education from Valdosta State University. This year is my 5th teaching year. I felt that G.S.D. staffs and students taught me a lot and I discovered new things about myself in the past till now. I am Deaf myself and believe that Deaf children will have success in their future with a positive Deaf identity. I am looking forward to meet all students. I am excited to find the ways to help them learn and grow with experience through ASL. We will be doing ASL Festival in Spring 2018. Also I am a coach for Spirit Team, ASL Bowl team and deSign chorus. Besides teaching, My Deaf husband, Paul (also a Teacher) and I are proud parents of three children. I loved  to go traveling, reading books, and do outdoor activities.
